Meet Ella
Ella Kathryne Weingart is dreamer, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. She is also a graphic designer and owner of Afield Agency, an aspiring illustrator, and a writer. She currently lives in Colorado with her husband, Drew, her daughter, Ferne, and their pup, Rabbit.
“This travel journal is a practice — evidence of the intention to slow down to a comfortable walking pace, to notice the four-leafed clover in the field, to bend down and appreciate its beauty, to take in every detail, the feeling, that certain je ne sais quoi, to capture a bit of its luck, and to scribble about the experience for the sake of sharing something beautiful with another.
Entries will surely be imperfect and candid, will likely display naivety and foolishness on occasion, and may garner a cringe or two, here or there. But, dear reader, they will be real and vulnerable and aimed at causing a ripple effect of goodness, beauty, and exploration. I beg you to lend grace where required, to laugh at my jokes, and above all — to be open and curious to the stories in your own experience that these entries call you to remember, to embark upon, and to unravel. To that end, bon voyage! After our traveling, may we ever arrive at our own self-discovery.
